47—16

A collective of land rover owners sharing their journey on and off the road.

Relying on something that regularly performs well for us is a lifestyle choice we believe in and actively seek. Streamlining our days and eliminating unnecessary doubt. Possessions we use, clothes we wear and the Land Rovers we drive by their functional nature become instruments. Long used as tools to get to places normally out of reach, the utter utility of the Landy has given their design the ultimate compliment - they’re irreplaceable.

Drive Outs:

Why 47—16?

In September 1947 The Rover Company approved production of a concept that is now a legend. Originally an 80” wheelbase with a central drivers seat the blueprint has now become one of the most varied machines on the planet. By 1949 after a year of its official launch production had reached 8000. Fast forward over 68 years and the last Land Rover to be made at Solihull was admired by its faithful craftsmen and women before it set off for its own 68 years of history.
